After needing the use of a solicitors firm for my divorce and having been let down for 6 months by a "big" firm, I engaged Paul and from the get go he was brilliant. He explained everything in simple terms, advised what battles to pick and what to let go as they were not important in the scheme of things. Whenever I sent an email, if Paul didn't reply immediately, due to being in court, then Sarah who runs the office would email back to advise that Paul was out but she would advise him on his return. The whole divorce process took 5 years!! None of this time was due to Paul dragging things out; as most people seem to think solicitors do; it was more down to my ex-wife delaying things. It's finally done so thank you Paul and Sarah for all your support. If you need a good divorce solicitor come to Prentice Family Law, ignore the "big" firms as you are just a number to them whereas with PFL you're a client but more than that, you're a person who is going through a difficult process, so you are treated that way.

Choosing Prentice Family Law and Paul Prentice was the best decision for my case. I came to Paul after my FDR hearing, facing the immediate need to prepare for a 4-day Final Hearing at very short notice. This was a task that other firms would not take on, particularly for a matter involving complex assets, including a family farm and a business. I originally started with a much larger, impersonal firm that wasted a significant portion of my limited funds trying to argue that my 'conduct' element would not hit the legal threshold, which I felt was entirely unjust. Moving my file to Paul Prentice was truly transformative. He immediately validated the necessity of the conduct argument and provided the personal service and expert advice I desperately needed. Crucially, the case included the rare and highly complex addition of this 'conduct' element, which Paul not only secured at the Pre-Trial Review (PTR) but also successfully proved it in court. The barrister chosen by Paul perfectly translated Paul's enthusiasm and commitment to succeed on my behalf, which was such a relief during the hearing. His ability to step in under extreme pressure and deliver such a professional result on a challenging legal point is remarkable.
