Reassuring and Comprehensive
I had the pleasure of spending time with James to discuss a complicated threat I received recently, and I needed to understand what options I have to deal with it and gain a deeper understanding of the best way forward. James answered all my questions and extended our session by 30 minutes without additional charges, essentially staying in the office after closing hours to help me. This is appreciated. Motor home dispute
James Thornton was so informative he explained everything clearly and he also listened to what we had to say.

Outstanding Vehicle HPI
I purchased a vehicle through the largest vehicle auction company in the UK and subsequently discovered it had outstanding finance. Both the auction house and the seller, the largest buyer of second hand cars in the UK, were difficult to deal with and the seller refused to communicate other than through evasive emails. I approached James who responded very quickly and provided initial advise and a report that gave me the means of dealing with the seller effectively, thus avoiding lengthy and costly legal proceedings. Very impressed with the service provided from start to finish.

Dispute with a builder
I employed a builder to make a fairly simple one story kitchen extension. Through his incompetence and negligence he nearly collapsed the whole of the back of the house by a badly fitting RSJ and numerous other faults. I then had to employ a surveyor, a structural engineer and a competent builder to rebuild everything. I sued the original builder, recovered all my money and won the case plus extensive costs thanks to the tenacity of my solicitor at Fiona Bruce.
