I was unfortunate enough to have to issue proceedings against my landlord for disrepair and disability discrimination. At the outset I was unable to source a solicitor because most had no capacity or deemed my case too complex. I therefore began the claim myself as a litigant in person. The area of disrepair is not simplistic and my landlord engaged in a very hostile manner. Fortunately I was referred to Mandeep the Director of Arkrights and worked very closely with him and Elon to progress the case. It was a relief to have a company not only extremely knowledgeable about an area of litigation I knew nothing about but both Mandeep and Elon kept me at ease and ensured things remained calm and progressed efficiently at what was a very challenging time for me. They had my best interest at heart and ensured that they obtained the best result for me as their client. The processes were explained at every stage with calmness and patience and I was always consulted and my views well considered. Throughout the case which in total spanned over 3 years I was fortunate to have working on my case Elon, Lucy and Mandeep. The case settled with a substantial settlement and this was wholly down to Mandeep’s exceptional knowledge and negotiation skills and the determination to ensure he obtained the best outcome for me his client.
