As those who have experienced a marital rupture know all to well, it can be a very traumatic time. However what made mine much more bearable was engaging in a pay as you go contract with Family First. From the outset Henrietta and her team were so compassionate, understanding and ever knowledgeable. Given the nature of my job meeting online was more convenient and Henrietta did all she could to meet when I was able to do so. Throughout the process of going through a divorce whenever I finished with a meeting with her I always felt like someone was in my corner which will never be forgotten. I wholeheartedly recommend Henrietta or Family First to anyone who is in need of their services!

Although I was quite nervous because the subject matter was personal, emotional and important to me, Henrietta, the solicitor appointed to my case, was very patient, respectful and calm allowing me the time and space I needed to put my points across. I felt listened to and advised well. I didn’t feel pressured to do as I was told but allowed to make my own decisions based on the advice I was being giving. This was important for me. I believe Family First solicitors live up to their name and would recommend them should you find yourself in the unfortunate situation you should need a solicitor.

I had a fantastic experience with Henrietta Pote and the rest of the team at Family First Solicitors and would highly recommend them to anybody looking for an honest, trustworthy and reliable legal service. Henrietta guided me through the most difficult time of my life, providing a phenomenal level of service and helping me build a water tight case. Henrietta was extremely knowledgable, courteous, efficient, and highly professional, but most importantly genuinely wanted the best outcome for my son and I, always looking to make the process cost effective and advising that the best option for everyone involved was an agreement between the two parties. Through Henrietta's guidance and counsel, my case was brought to an early close and I got the order I wanted put in place by a District-Judge. I also have an amicable relationship with my ex-partner were we can talk happily and openly about our son. If it wasn't for Henrietta I highly doubt we would be in this position, instead we would still be embroiled in an emotionally draining court case. I can't thank Henrietta and the team at Family First enough. When choosing a legal firm, you are stepping into a minefield, some firms prioritise financial gain over the best interests of their clients. I visited Henrietta Pote, Legal Executive at Family First Solicitors, Oxford, following the breakdown of my marriage. I had little idea of how difficult and protracted the process would become and how much I would come to rely and value her excellent professional advice. Despite being a very short marriage (16 months) and there being no children involved we ended up in court at a First Directions Appointment Hearing. From applying to the initial Decri Nisi to preparing for the court hearing Henrietta consistently provided very sound and helpful advice and worked tirelessly throughout the process to try and resolve the issues in an amicable way as possible without recourse to the courts. Despite all the difficulties encountered she remained calm throughout and was always there to provide support and advice to me even at short notice. I could have not have asked for a better legal representative and I know that those 9 months would have been so much harder without her professional help and support. I also felt that she endeavoured to keep costs from mounting wherever possible. In addition I have always found the staff at Family First to be incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend the firm to others.
