We were recommended to use Blacks Solicitors to buy a property though our limited company and they were an approved company by our mortgage company, Fleet Mortgages. Samantha Simpson was recommended as a highly professional and diligent conveyancer and was supported by Anne Clarkson. Samantha made the process effortless and stress free. I was a little concerned at the minimum contact I had from them but this was only due to the fact that they had everything in hand and only contacted me when they couldn't resolve the situation or any the questions themselves. They would reply promptly to calls and emails, something which has been extremely slow with previous solicitors in other firms.. We have used Blacks to buy a second property and they were able to make up any delays caused by the seller to ensure we completed before the mortgage offer expired. I will be using Blacks again for future purchases as I believe we have found a reliable and trusted firm after kissing many frogs (conveyancers) with other properties we have bought.

I've had a great experience working with Anne and Samantha — their communication is fantastic, and I'm always kept fully updated on the progress of my case. They're both incredibly supportive with any requests and consistently go the extra mile to try and help out. I had a rushed mortgage case that needed pushing through quickly, and they did everything they could to help me hit my deadline — something I genuinely appreciate. I would highly recommend Samantha Simpson for anyone purchasing investment properties. My only frustration is with the company itself — charging £150 to review another solicitor's independent legal advice feels like taking advantage of customers. It's actually cheaper to obtain the independent legal advice elsewhere, and I don't believe clients should be charged for Blacks solicitors to simply check it over. Honestly, I think this is a disappointing and unfair practice.
