This firm should be investigated for the mismanagement, abuse and failure to provide accounts to the beneficiaries of a Trust Fund in twenty years that they have had the Trust. They placed the Trust house in the name Timothy and James Bancroft instead of annotating it was held in trust on behalf of the beneficiaries. They play favourites and appear to have either embezzled funds or not taken care with issuing of disbursement’s to beneficiaries who have claimed to have never received their money.

They have engaged in discrimination and created havoc with the family, as they appear to have worked one beneficiary off against the other and we each didn’t realise.

Everything has been a battle with John Copland & Sons, they are thoroughly unprofessional and quite possibly acting outside their remit and the law. How they have not been closed down and struck off is one of life’s mysteries.

This is the most dishonest and untrustworthy solicitor that I have had the pleasure to come across. There incompetence is unmeasurable, the invoice is off the scale in cost. Do not use them!

I used this company to evict a tenant from my house. Quoted £2000-£2500. Never got an interim bill from them. They Kept asking for money for various things. At the end of the eviction they presented me with a bill for over £5500. I argued the bill and got it brought right down because they completely broke the rules and regulations of the law society and legal ombudsman. They gave me false information when I was complaining telling me the ombudsman wouldn’t entertain my complaint unless I had paid half their bill. Complete fabrication on their part.

If you are looking for a solicitor don’t use this firm. They are unreliable and completely overcharge you without your knowledge. Reading other reviews they seem to have a habit of overcharging clients and not keeping them informed of rising costs.

AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE.
