I am writing this review primarily to thank Mr. Ali at Ashman Solicitors for his exceptional handling of my fraud by misrepresentation case, which ultimately resulted in a not guilty verdict. It was a challenging four-year battle with the CPS, but the thorough preparation and dedication from Ashman Solicitors led to a successful outcome that saved both my life and my career. Raja Afzal was the solicitor appointed to the case which was a complex fraud case where my sister-in-law had been “duped” to say the least by the principal offender. The case was complex as it stemmed over a number of years with many victims falling for the scam. My sister-in-law was an innocent person getting work experience from the principal offender not knowing what he was doing and merely passing on messages to and from his clients. She was arrested, interviewed and later indicted for conspiracy to defraud. She was absolutely devastated to say the least. She had never been in trouble with the police and was totally innocent. However, the police had built a case against her. We went to Ashman’s solicitors to represent her and the response was amazing, very professional and reassuring to my sister-in-law. They took the case and prepared a very substantial defence for her, to the extent that the crown (prosecution) discontinued the case against her at the PDH. Otherwise, she could have been waiting for 18 months or more for a trial date with the “Sword of Damocles” hanging over her head. The prompt discontinuance has helped her immensely to get her life back together again. I write this review on behalf of her, having over 40 years of experience in law enforcement and now a retired seasoned senior detective I have come across numerous defence solicitors during my time. But found the Ashman’s are a truly professional company with really good knowledgeable, friendly solicitors that get on with it and put up a very strong defence case they have a very friendly approach and have direct contact with the client. (I used to ring Raja directly rather than his office/staff and speak with him).

I want to say a massive thank you to Mr Raja Atif Afzal from Ashmans Solicitors. I come from a respected family and my life was turned upside down when I was falsely accused of serious criminal charges. The whole process lasted approximately 6 years before I was finally found Not Guilty. Mr Afzal was relentless in his pursuit to help me prove my innocence. He worked tirelessly and continually inspired me with confidence and gave me the courage to keep fighting. His knowledge and expertise were always to the point and reassuring. I don’t have words to express my true feelings ..I just to want say a big thank you to Mr Afzal for what he has done for me, it was a remarkable job. I would say he is the best solicitor in the UK! Thank you once again to him and his team.
