I was arrested for a number of allegations of and controlling and coercive behavior against my ex partner. She had me arrested upon a number of occasions whjch destroyed my life. I was recommended to Ashmans Solicitors head office. I spoke to them and they advised me thoroughly and properly. They used their pre charge team to bring together all the evidence which woukd clear me and prepared with great care written representations to the Police. The case was then dropped against me some time later. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. They took everyone of my calls and were always there at my darkest moments. I thoroughly recommend them as anyones first choice for legal representation. Thank you so much guys i can now get on with my life.

Raja Atif Afzal

Raja Afzal was the solicitor appointed to the case which was a complex fraud case where my sister-in-law had been “duped” to say the least by the principal offender. The case was complex as it stemmed over a number of years with many victims falling for the scam. My sister-in-law was an innocent person getting work experience from the principal offender not knowing what he was doing and merely passing on messages to and from his clients. She was arrested, interviewed and later indicted for conspiracy to defraud. She was absolutely devastated to say the least. She had never been in trouble with the police and was totally innocent. However, the police had built a case against her. We went to Ashman’s solicitors to represent her and the response was amazing, very professional and reassuring to my sister-in-law. They took the case and prepared a very substantial defence for her, to the extent that the crown (prosecution) discontinued the case against her at the PDH. Otherwise, she could have been waiting for 18 months or more for a trial date with the “Sword of Damocles” hanging over her head. The prompt discontinuance has helped her immensely to get her life back together again. I write this review on behalf of her, having over 40 years of experience in law enforcement and now a retired seasoned senior detective I have come across numerous defence solicitors during my time. But found the Ashman’s are a truly professional company with really good knowledgeable, friendly solicitors that get on with it and put up a very strong defence case they have a very friendly approach and have direct contact with the client. (I used to ring Raja directly rather than his office/staff and speak with him).

This company is a disgrace. They failed to reply to my emails, they do not answer on their phones, each time you call trying to reach the person you spoke before they are always away or in their lunchbreak any time of the day. They are experts at mishandling funds, specialists in not respecting any of the deadlines suggested by them. Stay away from this company and make sure you someone that is acting in the clients best interests. This is not the company that does this! Be aware! SRA is already investigating them.
