Completed Successfully, but Communication Could Be Better
Our experience with this solicitor was generally okay, though there were some areas where the service could have been improved. Communication was reasonable throughout the process – I always received a response to any questions I had, although it could sometimes take a few days to hear back. I only spoke with our solicitor on the phone right at the end of the transaction when we were preparing to complete. At times, I felt the engagement and enthusiasm could have been better, as interactions sometimes felt like bare minimum. On completion day, we were informed at around 2:30pm that our sale had completed, but there seemed to be an expectation that we should hand over the keys promptly because completion had supposedly taken place before lunch. This wasn't our understanding of the timeline, and it left us with less than two and a half hours to finish moving, which added some unnecessary stress to the day. That said, the purchase and sale were completed successfully, and there were no major issues with the legal work itself. Overall, I would describe the experience as average. While others may have a different experience, I don't think I would personally choose to use this solicitor again in the future.
