Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1999 I have worked exclusively in the area of employment law and I am a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association. I have frequently been commended by my clients for being clear, concise, practical and solution focused whilst at the same time being empathetic and supportive.
Although I have expertise in all areas of employment law, whether that be in relation to contentious matters or simply advising or drafting, I have a real passion for dispute resolution and my background in psychology, which I studied at university before converting to law, helps me in this area. I advise regularly on settlement agreements and am commended for being able to provide comprehensive advice on these even when fast turnaround is required. I am a tough negotiator and (I am told) a fearsome litigator.
However, whether I am representing individuals or companies in litigation or just providing advice or reviewing/drafting a contract or handbook, I will always have my client’s desired outcome at the forefront of my mind. Client care and excellent service are my top priorities. In my opinion, every client should feel like my only client and, so far, I believe I have achieved this objective.

Lionshead revisited
We instruct Belinda at Lionshead Law from time to time on ad hoc employment matters that are outside of our inhouse legal and HR expertise. Belinda provides prompt, practical and commercially astute advice. Her reading of how the other party, especially if legally advised, will act and react to any given situation or offer is always spot on, and her judgement is without exception sound and sage. I cannot recommend her highly enough - so much so that she would be my first choice for employment advice if I was ever in personal difficulty.

Amazing person to have in your corner
I'm not the type of person who would typically need to hire a lawyer but when something happened to me with work I felt I needed expert advice. I was very nervous about the whole experience but Belinda was transparent and reassuring from the start. She has amazing skills and is easy to talk to. I felt so glad to have her in my corner during a difficult process.

Recommended

Utterly brilliant

clear and helpful about all things employment law
Excellent advice ...clear and helpful about all things employment law! Would not hesitate to recommend. Retaining Belinda was possibly the wisest decision I’ve made in recent times. Knowledgeable, supportive and at all times professional, I actually felt that the strap line of being there for me actually delivered the goods.
