I was recommended to Carter Bells after a close friend had used Elaine for her separation in 2009. The complexities of any divorce or family dispute are extremely daunting for anyone. I was extremely anxious about starting the process and Elaine handled this with great empathy. Elaine took every detail, understood my anxieties and worked with me to assure me of the real "facts" and propose a plan to kick off the process. The information at the beginning was so overwhelming but Elaine relayed all this to me in such an effective way I felt instantly at ease with a firm understanding of next steps and the process. Elaine was just exceptional, I was so out of my depth and worried how to move my divorce forward. She guided me with constructive and personalised legal advice together with real compassion. I didn't feel just like "another case" I felt that Elaine and the team were invested in delivering me a resolution that was fair and agreeable to all parties and that is exactly what she did.
