Liz’s role is to advise and assist parents, family members and children who are facing the challenges of Care proceedings. She also represents children who are needing to be represented by a Children’s Guardian, to ensure their voice is heard within proceedings. Liz has over 20 years’ experience in family law, and over 15 years of these have been specialising in Care. She has represented parents, family members and children in a wide variety of cases including neglect, non-accidental injuries and sexual abuse. She undertakes her own advocacy as far as possible and believes that this provides the client with continuity of support. She specialises in working with parents with learning disabilities or those who are particularly vulnerable. Prior to joining Alsters Kelley in July 2026, Liz worked in Worcestershire for most of her career, with a brief spell in Somerset, although she has also covered Courts in the West Midlands and further afield depending where she is instructed. She has been qualified to represent children through the Law Society’s Children Panel for over 15 years, and has always worked for firms that provide legal aid as she believes this should be available to those that require it most. She is also the Worcestershire and Warwickshire Council Member for the Law Society.
