Right of Abode and British Passport - Exception Service, Highly Recommend
We would like to give a massive thank you to the team at Gryk Solicitors, especially Andrew and Morag, who supported us tremendously with our daughter’s Right of Abode visa application and UK passport application, ultimately enabling us to bring her home. Our experience with the Home Office had been far from pleasant due to the complex nature of an international surrogacy birth. We had initially applied for our daughter’s passport from Kenya, but after six months of back-and-forth correspondence with the Home Office, multiple document submissions, and even involvement from our local MP, the application was unsuccessful and we were given very little explanation. When we engaged Andrew and his team, they were diligent, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the complexities involved in surrogacy-related applications and presented us with several options to consider moving forward. We ultimately decided to pursue a Right of Abode application first, and from the moment they took over, everything ran seamlessly. From start to finish, the process took only three weeks. Given our previous experience with the Home Office, we naturally had doubts and felt very anxious, but Andrew and Morag reassured us throughout and gave us confidence that everything would be handled properly. Upon arrival in the UK, they proceeded with the passport application which also took a little over 2 weeks from submission to receipt of our daughters’ passport. We were truly amazed by the speed of service, the quick turnaround in communication, the regular updates at every key stage, and most importantly, the genuine care and support we received throughout the entire process. Thank you, Andrew and Morag, we are incredibly grateful.
