After being admitted to the roll of Solicitors in September 2022, I worked in the Private Client Department at a firm in Milton Keynes before joining Neves on 27 May 2025, where I am currently based at the Harpenden office. Over the last couple of years, I have been able to build upon my expertise in Private Client and have worked on a variety of complex matters spanning across various areas of the law. Most notably, I have extensive experience in dealing with Probate and Estate Administration, Applying for Grant of Probate / Grants of Letters of Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Preparation of Wills and Inheritance Tax Planning.

    Pain free will creation

    Sorting out my will has been on my to do list for years but I kept putting it off because it felt a bit overwhelming.     Excellent service

    We contacted my Father's solicitor, Neves in Harpenden for an urgent matter. They were amazing they were able to send a solicitor to my Father's care home the following day. Lydia who visited my Father twice was very understanding and caring, she made sure my Father fully understood everything that was being arranged. As we live a distance away we could correspond remotely making life so much easier. We will not hesitate to use Lydia and Neves again in the future

    Lydia Mills

    Lydia Mills recently handled the redrafting of my grandad’s will and supported us through arranging his Lasting Powers of Attorney. From start to finish, she was simply outstanding. She showed incredible compassion, patience, and understanding, taking the time to listen and, most importantly, giving my grandad the space to speak his truth and make his wishes known. These conversations can be emotional and difficult, but Lydia made the entire process feel calm, respectful, and reassuring. Her knowledge and professionalism were exceptional, and she explained everything clearly, ensuring my grandad felt comfortable and fully understood every decision he was making. Thanks to Lydia’s guidance, my brother and I are now appointed as my grandad’s attorneys, giving him complete peace of mind knowing that, should the day ever come when he is unable to make decisions for himself, he has two people he trusts to care for his affairs and act in his best interests.
