Our managing director has a strong background in criminal law but motoring law “in his blood.” Having worked for two other specialist motoring law firms, he decided to establish his own practice in 2011. Matthew is renowned for his attention to technical detail in relation to motoring offences and during his career has been interviewed by national radio, newspapers and TV. He has been involved in numerous cases which attracted the attention of the national press such as the faulty GATSO case of 2013 and the “too drunk to blow” case which was eventually heard in the High Court in December 2017. He has written articles for respected legal websites such as the Justice Gap in relation to these cases.
Matthew uses his experience, knowledge of the law and tactics to achieve outstanding results for his clients in relation to technical speeding, drug driving, drink driving, careless and dangerous driving cases. Matthew has the enviable record of having overseen over 700 acquittals for all manner of motoring offences since qualifying as a solicitor and having saved many more people from disqualification.

Outstanding service and results
If you have a driving offence Kenway Miller are the dream team you NEED representing you.
If you are reading this then I assume you need representation. I can only recommend that you stop searching right now and pick up the phone to these guys…. You will be glad you did.
Hilary was always available to calm, reassure and support me. Several times I called her to talk about the case and she gave me the strength to carry on, sharing with me wise tips on how to manage the overwhelming anxiety that I was experiencing whilst waiting for my court date. She made me feel not so alone or scared and gave me hope. She is an amazing woman.
Matthew is extremely knowledgable on legal processes and how to build a strong case using his in-depth knowledge of the legal system. He is professionally brilliant, caring and non judgemental. He was always prompt in replying to any questions I sent him by text or email. His good communication skills proved to be emotionally invaluable for me, as I had so many questions and fears. I felt I was able to trust and rely on for him for sage advice and guidance.
They both worked so very my case, the commitment they bring to defending their clients is one I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Mr P Lucas must also get a mention here, as he is the barrister you want and need to represent you should you ever be in this scenario. He is incredibly knowledgable upon legal matters, court procedures and police protocol. A fastidious professionally brilliant barrister who left no stone unturned. Mr Lucas has a lovely calm demeanour, and is a caring and approachable professional. This I was greatly appreciative of as he gave me reassurance , hope and comfort whilst waiting anxiously at the court.
From start to finish I felt in was in safe hands with Kenway Miller. The end result of No further action only goes to prove just how amazing these three are.

A force to be reckoned with!
They are the best at what they do! I was so worried I’d lose my licence as I need it to visit my kid and for work! From the get go Hillary was nothing but understanding, sympathetic and super professional. They had my case thrown out at the first day of trial! If you’re willing to pay the money YOU REALLY CAN BEAT THESE CHARGES AND KEEP YOUR LICENSE! My case took a year, I failed a road side swap and then my blood was taken at the station, the police almost routinely mess this up so don’t sweat they must only make one mistake! Cut one corner! And kenway miller will find it and have your case dismissed! Many thanks again to the team! Would recommend to anyone facing similar charges they ARE THE BEST!

Drug Driving Offence
I contacted Kenway Miller after my son picked up 2 offences in quick succession for drug driving. I was very concerned about his license and employment however they were skilfully able to get both cases thrown out of court … I couldn’t recommend Kenway Miller highly enough!

Professional service
I’m writing this review not to share my case in detail as all cases are different but to say a massive thank you.
If you’re reading this you are most likely to be looking for a legal defence team look no further. All I can comment on is my personal experience with Kenway Miller which was without doubt first class. Right from the outset the professionalism was evident by way of communications thoroughness reassurance honesty. Highly Recommended
Pulled over by the police with Automatic Number Plate Recognition on their patrol car flagging up no insurance, (subsequently, insurance was found to be correct), was roadside tested with a drugswipe which proved positive and was arrested and taken to a Police Investigation Centre where blood was taken for analysis. Notified nearly 6 months later that the blood was over the limit for THC and was to appear at Magistrates court 2 months later.
Scoured the web for the best legal team and eventually having talked with many we talked with Hilary & Mathew at Kenway Miller who reassured us that they and their team were at the very very top of their game and believe me they are.
Magistrates court came along and a competent Barrister guided us through the day. Pleading Not Guilty, a trial date was set for 4 months later. With 2 weeks to go, the trial was vacated because of a lack of court resources and the trial was rearranged for 6 months later.
Six months later, with the trial imminent, the CPS had still not disclosed all their evidence to the defence despite being directed to do so by the original Magistrates some 10 months earlier. As a result, Kenway Millers forensics team still had not had the opportunity to check all the toxicology reports on the blood samples.
The day before the trial the CPS disclosed that the prosecution’s main witness, the arresting officer, would not now attend as they were busy elsewhere and that they would be applying for an adjournment of the trial. On the day of the trial, was represented by the brilliant barrister Mr Lucas. Mr Lucas’s knowledge of the court procedures, his presentation around the non-disclosure of the evidence and his arguments concerning the late notification of non-attendance of the prosecution’s main witness eventually led to the magistrates conferring for what must have been 30 seconds before dismissing the application for an adjournment and the case was dismissed.
I cannot emphasise enough that Kenway Miller are the team to go to for support for any motoring offences – Hilary, always at the end of the phone, in control and giving reassurance on any concerns, Mathew, again always available with his case management and in-depth knowledge of the legal system and processes, the toxicology team analysing what reports had been produced and barrister Mr Lucas with his brilliant analytical skills, legal knowledge & presentations.

Defending me in my DUI case
Kenway Miller solicitors l, more specifically Matthew and Hilary were both of great help to me as they provided me with support and information that lowered my anxiety regarding the whole case. Matthew when representing me was also very competent and knew exactly how to deal with every scenario that could’ve possibly come about. If it weren’t for Matthew providing his defending Skelton argument the case could have very well gone one for so much longer than required and for that I am truly grateful.
