She had a successful career in London for many years as a Human rights practitioner, acting for claimants in civil claims against the police and public authorities. She was a specialist inquest lawyer and the legal researcher and assistant to Leslie Thomas QC, on many high-profile Inquests, Judicial Reviews and police shootings/deaths in custody, including the deaths of Azelle Rodney, Sean Rigg and Mark Duggan and the Hillsborough inquest. Isabelle moved to Hertfordshire in 2011, to raise a family and start a business and later joined a local firm to practise employment and commercial law.
