I cannot recommend Ajesh Brar of Setfords highly enough for his exceptional conveyancing services. Despite not being on the panel with my estate agents, Ajesh came highly recommended by one of their staff due to my complex situation involving historical freeholder issues over my 18 years of ownership. From the outset, Ajesh demonstrated remarkable professionalism and expertise, navigating a challenging process with ease.
When the first buyer’s solicitor raised an overwhelming 50 enquiries after failing to review critical documents (TA6, TA7, and TA10), Ajesh handled the situation with composure and efficiency, ensuring clear communication and resolution. Although the sale fell through due to the buyer’s solicitor misrepresenting a Land Registry floor plan issue, Ajesh’s diligence and proactive approach kept the process on track.

From the moment I met Susanne White I knew I was in very safe & sensitive hands. Having to make a will is a traumatic experience. You are reminded in doing it of how tenuous our hold on life is & the inevitability of that life ending. So, having someone like Susanne to help navigate this process with you is truly a gift. She took the time to listen to me, to support me, & to guide me in making my decisions. She came to my home on two visits, explained everything to me & by her time of leaving I felt so secure in what I had done. A weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Her follow up on my arrangement has been equally helpful. Her letters of explanation regarding power of attorney etc have now enabled me to move forward without fear of what the future may hold for me. I deem myself very lucky to have Susanne come into my life when I needed guidance most. I cannot recommend her services to highly. She is a credit to her profession. Setfords Law was recommended by my financial advisor. I was in need of a number of letters verifying that monies from my Mother's estate was a legitimate payment to some of her grandchildren and sons, all of whom live abroad. This was incase they were challenged by their revenue service.
Sophie Booker, was polite, helpful and supplied and explained useful advice to this end. Over a matter of a few months, as needed, she supplied draft letters for approval, all of which were well worded and to the point. On approval, she supplied the final version copies both in hard copy and electronically. Sophie supplied a professional and pain-free service. I would definitely recommend her services and that of her firm.

Shazmin Hirjani handled the sale of my partner and I's properties and the purchase of our new forever home faultlessly. Communication was excellent, she navigated some tricky things with the Land Registry and other third parties and gave excellent advice and was always happy to talk through things we didn't understand. She made a stressful time have much less impact on us just through us having confidence in her. We are very grateful to have had her act on our behalf. Would highly recommend.

I worked with Merlin Batchelor. Merlin was diligent, informed and to the point. His responses were prompt, often working outside of office hours to give me clarity with urgency. I can't fault his approach.
Setfords are more expensive than my previous conveyancing solicitors, but I consider it money well spent in lieu of the service I received.
I'd highly recommend Merlin and the Setfords team.

I honestly can’t recommend Malwina Konopinska highly enough! She was our solicitor for our first-time buyer shared ownership purchase, and she truly went above and beyond. Malwina is the best of the best—professional, dedicated, and incredibly efficient. At the same time, she’s down-to-earth and always made time to answer any questions we had, no matter how small or when we asked.
What really stood out was how fast and focused she was—she managed to get everything completed within 2 months, during an incredibly busy time when everyone else was saying it couldn’t be done before the stamp duty deadline in April. Thanks to her, we made it!
If anyone ever asks me for a solicitor recommendation, Malwina will always be my first choice. Thank you so much again, Malwina—I’m sure we’ll be in touch again in the future!

Jolita at Setfords guided us through our sale and purchase transaction and she was excellent. Her communication was always clear and prompt - and she was always happy to answer any 'silly questions we had'.
We would often find that she had prepared work "one step ahead" of where were at and all-in-all we were able to complete in under 4 months.
I would not hesitate to use her again and would recommend her for your conveyancing needs!
