Sarah joined Samuel Phillips Law in 2019. Prior to joining, Sarah was a Director at one of the UK’s leading family law firms, who specialised in complex and high value cases and had been involved in some of the highest profile cases of recent years.
Sarah advises on all legal issues resulting from the breakdown of a relationship and also advises on pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements. She has significant experience in dealing with complex and high-value financial disputes, often involving trusts, off-shore assets, pre-acquired assets, inherited wealth and hidden assets.
Sarah also advises on private children law matters. This includes residence and contact disputes, relocation, parental alienation and financial claims on behalf of unmarried parents.
Her clients range from diverse backgrounds, including stay at home parents, business owners, financiers, legal and medical professionals, sports professionals and media personalities. With a reputation for being a tough negotiator where required, Sarah is committed to achieving the best outcome for all of her clients.

After reading Business and Economics, Sarah completed the GDL and LPC (with Distinction) at Northumbria University. She undertook her training contract with a Legal 100 firm based in Mayfair, London. Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2004.

Best Divorce Lawyer
Having Sarah as my lawyer has been like having a best friend at my side throughout my divorce. The first time we met I was a complete wreck, we barely spoke - Sarah just held me, made me feel safe and made me believe that I mattered. She has checked in on me every day since. Sarah has managed to make me cry with laughter on days I thought I would never smile again. She has always helped me find the rainbow on a rainy day. Sarah fought so hard to ensure that I exited my marriage with a generous settlement. I may have lost a husband but I have gained so much more, not least a new friend in Sarah, a house, a pension and my independence. My divorce would have been an awful ugly experience without Sarah.

If you’re getting divorced, you need Sarah!

Best Divorce Lawyer
3 other lawyers in the region had charged me a fortune, got me into debt and not progressed my divorce. I was at my wits end. My colleague showed me the reviews on this site for Sarah (who is a friend of hers). I decided to get in touch. This was possibly the best decision I have ever made. The reviews on this site do not do this absolute legend of a lawyer justice. From that very first call I had absolute faith in Sarah to progress my divorce, get me a fair outcome and to work within my budget. She achieved all of those things and so much more. Sarah is an amazing person. She totally understood my frustrations, my fears and my needs. It’s cliche but she has been my absolute rock. My superhero. If you are needing a divorce lawyer, you need Sarah.

Fantastic support
Sarah at Samuel Phillips was so supportive and helpful, I could not recommend her enough. Impressed with service
We used the services for a family court matter. We were very impressed with the advice provided and she always made herself available to chat by phone or video call which made it very convenient for us.

The best team you could ask for during a very difficult time.
Sarah and Hannah were amazing, not only did they use their endless amount of experience/knowledge to navigate me through my divorce and financial settlement, they always made it their priority to check on myself and the children first and foremost. Sara was also quick and efficient at getting the final part over the finish line when Sarah was away from work.
I can’t comment on the cost as I have never been in a situation where I have required a solicitor for this before, but I know that I would recommend them to anyone. Their empathetic approach whilst guiding you to the best outcome for your personal circumstances was second to none, because let’s be honest which woman is thinking straight during one of the most emotional and heartbreaking times of their lives! Thanks again ladies.

Dream team
Sarah and Hannah are a great team, they were always quick to respond and set realistic expectations.
Going through a divorce whilst supporting my children was one of the hardest times of my life. Sarah is very knowledgeable, experienced and empathetic, she always started a call by asking how myself and the children were. When I had no more fight left in me she was able to encourage me to dig deeper and when I wasn’t thinking clearly, able to help me look at the bigger picture. I would highly recommend them if you are going through a divorce as they really do have your best interests at heart. Thank you again.

Family court advice
