I first contacted Amanda of AC Employment Solicitors 4 years ago for some advice on a redundancy issue, using the advertised 15 minutes of free initial advice. I received very useful information and did not need to pursue it further. A year later I needed to engage a solicitor for a very serious employment issue involving a family member, and based on my earlier initial contact, I had no hesitation in engaging Amanda. She dealt with a very difficult case in a measured and methodical way, managing a very successful outcome for us. Although finally successful, Amanda never promised that result from the outset and always warned of the risks, involving us fully in decisions as the case took each turn. A year ago, a very similar but more challenging situation arose that once more required Amandas services. Again, in the face of what seemed an almost impossible task at times, she persevered and achieved a successful outcome for us. Throughout all of these matters she was totally professional and informative of the process and possible outcomes, and also very personable and friendly. She specialises only in Employment cases. Employment law can be very complex and not always logical to the average person. When an issue arises, good advice as soon as possible is essential as things can escalate rapidly and employers are always ahead of their employees on what their next move is. I was in a position where I was offered a job and submitted my resignation to my current employer in good faith that I would be starting a new role after signing contracts. The circumstances changed dramatically after the job offer was retracted and my current job role unfortunately then made redundant after I had signed my contract.
