Professional throughout all my matters

I first contacted Amanda of AC Employment Solicitors 4 years ago for some advice on a redundancy issue, using the advertised 15 minutes of free initial advice. I received very useful information and did not need to pursue it further. A year later I needed to engage a solicitor for a very serious employment issue involving a family member, and based on my earlier initial contact, I had no hesitation in engaging Amanda. She dealt with a very difficult case in a measured and methodical way, managing a very successful outcome for us. Although finally successful, Amanda never promised that result from the outset and always warned of the risks, involving us fully in decisions as the case took each turn. A year ago, a very similar but more challenging situation arose that once more required Amandas services. Again, in the face of what seemed an almost impossible task at times, she persevered and achieved a successful outcome for us. Throughout all of these matters she was totally professional and informative of the process and possible outcomes, and also very personable and friendly. She specialises only in Employment cases. Employment law can be very complex and not always logical to the average person. When an issue arises, good advice as soon as possible is essential as things can escalate rapidly and employers are always ahead of their employees on what their next move is. This was the case in the above issues and Amandas early intervention was crucial in the outcomes. Should the need arise again in future, I will not hesitate in engaging Amanda.

I was in a position where I was offered a job and submitted my resignation to my current employer in good faith that I would be starting a new role after signing contracts. The circumstances changed dramatically after the job offer was retracted and my current job role unfortunately then made redundant after I had signed my contract. I lost any chance of redundancy package and no job to go to after serving my notice period. Amanda was able to set realistic expectations for the process for reclaiming financial loss. She was brilliant at keeping me informed and answered any queries that I raised. I was extremely happy to have Amanda represent me and be the liaison between the party involved in the case. I would highly recommend AC Employment Solicitors and would not hesitate to employ their services for any future circumstances.

The Principal solicitor, Amanda Capon, has more than 30 years of experience specialising in dealing with employment law issues for Companies and Employees. Prior to setting up her own niche practice she worked for one of the largest practices in the South Coast as a Specialist Employment Lawyer. Prior to qualifying, she undertook a secondment with a national retailer employing some 30,000 employees advising senior management on issues from ill health to discrimination and conduct and performance to dismissal guiding management to ensure all procedures and practices were carried out appropriately whilst at the same time advising employees.
