Francesca joined us in October 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor; after spending the last two years with us in various departments, she has now qualified as a Solicitor into our Dispute Resolution and Litigation department. Prior to joining the firm, Francesca spent four years studying law, achieving a Bachelors of Laws with Upper Second Class Honours and the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Law. During her time at Winchester University, she volunteered as a Youth Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, advocating awareness for substance misuse, particularly with alcohol, and its links to teenage binge drinking, and spiking. As an undergraduate, she also had the opportunity to experience a criminal barrister’s perspective of the law by undertaking a week of experience with a 12CP barrister. Even though she is at the beginning of her legal career within a firm, Francesca already knows from her time studying and training that she wants to work for the Civil Courts and specialise as a Dispute Resolution Lawyer. Francesca particularly enjoys areas surrounding Property Litigation, Inheritance Act Claims and Consumer Rights Act. Francesca also works alongside the Family Department with Trusts of Land, and Appointment of Trustees Act Claims.

Landlord/Tenancy issues

Troubles with 'end of tenancy' tenants. Yes, it did cost more in 'agreement' monies etc that I hadn't planned for, but their advice saved a lot of stress into not entering into a protracted court case. Carrot. Not stick. Battling the small paperwork stuffs, the Vale of Glamorgan Council policies and Rent Smart Wales dictats has saved me no end of grief. Thank you.
