Anne Colquhoun has vast experience of representing both employers and individuals and advising on all aspects of employment law. Anne has won many cases involving allegations of sex discrimination and disability discrimination, unfair dismissal, bullying and harassment and whistleblowing. She has advised on and drafted Settlement Agreements, Contracts of Employment and staff policies. She has brought and defended breach of contract claims and advised and represented clients in injunction proceedings. She has advised on all matters relating to redundancy. Anne has also advised on the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations and the laws and regulations relating to Health and Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations. Formerly, Anne represented victims of clinical negligence and victims of accidents in workplaces and of road traffic accidents and many claims for compensation for victims of accidents on both private and public property. Anne has also been successful in obtaining compensation for victims who have suffered injuries as a result of defective products. Anne has handled many complex, high value claims, winning substantial awards in excess of £500,000 for victims who suffered catastrophic injuries who had been left severely and permanently disabled. Anne also has considerable experience of representing victims of industrial diseases, including asbestosis-related conditions, noise-induced hearing loss, hand/arm vibration syndrome, repetitive strain injuries and work-related stress claims.
