I cannot recommend Lotus Horizon highly enough. Kirsty and Jestina have both been absolutely fantastic to work with. As a Children’s Guardian, I have had the pleasure of working alongside them and have been consistently impressed by their professionalism, commitment and genuine child-focused approach. They are both incredibly knowledgeable, approachable and responsive and it is clear that they care deeply about achieving the best possible outcomes for the children and families they represent. What really stands out is the quality of their work, their attention to detail and the way they engage with everyone involved in a case. Lotus Horizon were recommended to me by the Domestic Abuse organisation that have been supporting me. I spoke with Jestina and she spent a long time on the phone with me understanding my situation. Since that first call Jestina has been very supportive and not only provides the relevant legal advice etc but has a natural ability to show empathy and actually understands what victims of Domestic Abuse face when navigating the family court system. I honestly can’t thank Jestina enough for her support. Seeing what Jestina and her colleague are creating at Lotus Horizon and the emphasis on trauma informed practice is honestly amazing because sadly there are many parents like me going through this awful time and having professionals who actually understand what you are going through makes such a difference. Jestina has been my solicitor within the Family Courts for around three years, throughout an incredibly complex and difficult family court case that has been ongoing for an extended period of time. These past three years have been some of the hardest years that my children and I have ever endured. But throughout it all, Jestina has been there with such consistency, empathy and compassion. She has always offered not only an incredibly professional and dedicated solicitor service within my court hearings, but also a genuinely kind and human approach before, during and after every hearing. Jestina has gone above and beyond to be there for me, even at times when she didn’t have to and when I simply needed someone to help me through the difficult moments. Most solicitors wouldn’t necessarily need to do that, and that is what makes Jestina so incredibly different — and so special. She has been a light for me during some of the darkest times of my life. When I felt like I had lost my own light, Jestina never stopped believing in me, supporting me and helping me find my way through. Today, I had the courage to represent myself in court, something I never would have believed I was capable of doing three years ago. I simply followed Jestina’s advice and guidance, and the outcome was beautiful. That moment meant more to me than I can put into words, and I know that the confidence I had to stand there for myself and my children was, in no small part, because of the support and guidance Jestina has given me over the years.
