Jonathan is Managing Director of Girlings Personal Injury Claims Solicitors. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1996, but has been practising Law since 1984 (specialising in personal injury work since the late 1980’s). He has been on the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel (for lawyers with a proven track record in personal injury claims) since 1996. He is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, having achieved their “Senior Litigator” accreditation, and is on the Headway list of head-injury solicitors since 2014. Jonathan was born and bred in East Kent. He worked in Ramsgate from 1984 to 1986, Margate from 1986 to 2000 and Folkestone from 2000 to 2008. He is now based at our Canterbury branch. He is experienced in dealing with a wide range of cases, including head injury, employers liability claims, road traffic claims, occupiers’ liability and criminal injuries claims. He has conducted claims and appeals in the County Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal (for claims worth thousands of pounds to several million pounds). His caseload now consists almost entirely of claims for compensation for serious brain injury, and claims on behalf of clients whose symptoms from joint hypermobility syndrome/ Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) have been triggered or aggravated as a result of an accident. Jonathan places great emphasis on rehabilitation, so apart from seeking compensation for injuries, loss of earnings, care needs and out of pocket expenses, he also does everything possible to make sure that the insurance company pays for whatever private medical treatment may be necessary to help his clients make as full a recovery from their injuries as they can.

    EXCELLENT AND COMPASSIONATE

    Thanks Jonathan Pidduck. Jonathan has always been the best solicitor I have ever had, by far! So it’s a hard act to follow. Professional, kind, empathetic, knowledgeable and I didn’t get 500 emails, saying not very much. Jonathan was always there on hand and his emails were informative, kind and to the point. Which is essential when people are sick. Jonathan has excellent knowledge of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Postural Tachycardia Syndrome. Which is invaluable. After an RTA, my previous solicitor said I’d get £2,000. She did nothing. The other party lied and said I was in the wrong. Thankfully police backed me up. I changed companies to Girlings, with Jonathan Pidduck and got awarded £30,000! Jonathan supported me throughout it all and he has always been very approachable. My experience with solicitors has not been great before this, and after this. For me, Jonathan will always be the creme de la creme of Solicitors!

    we can honestly say that every word wriiten below is 100% fact! Jonathan you from the very beginning put us both at ease. From spending hours in your office listening and helping us try and make sence of what we had been though. The offer of putting us in touch with Headway, (by the way that really helped us so much in the early days). Hours on Zoom calls or telephone calls during the whole of the Covid and lockdown period. Then onto making sure that we would have nothing to worry about if we lost the case by putting into place a signed document that would protect not only our home but our assets and our emotional well-being.
