I am a Solicitor Advocate specialising in Criminal Law and have been practising since 1993. I head up the firms Miscarriage of Justice and Crime Team, as well as offering assistance in Family Law and Dispute Resolution . I have been fortunate to have been involved in putting right a large number of miscarriage of justice cases, many of which have been nationally reported. I strongly believe in standing up for those who have suffered an injustice. I am recognised as a specialist in defending false allegations with a particular interest in complex institutional care home enquiries and false memory cases . We work with many national support organisations such as FASO , FACT and BFMS . I also undertake Prison Law and Jordans are one of the small number of firms now recognised as specialist providers of Prison Law . Complaints - I recognise on occasions we can get things wrong - we are only human , but we do operate an open and transparent complaints system which I supervise and we always consider resolution as our starting point . Personal I am a Past President of Doncaster & District Law Society I am a Council Member at the National Law Society representing Yorkshire . I sit on the Law Societys Criminal Law Committee and the Scrutiny Performance and Review Committee .

    Yes/no satisfied of the outcome because I know I was pushed to plea guilty because the barrister said the jury will find me guilty even if I didn't do anything. My solicitor at WhiteRoseBlackmans told me to plea not guilty because no evidence on one matter but never did anything wrong to the other matter either. Just silly things I said. I am going to wait until I get out to see if I can overthrow my convictions. Can't believe the jury would find me guilty on no evidence. I should have never been put in here because of what I went through in my childhood in the 80s, been let down like children are today getting blamed for something not their fault.

    Never experienced so much unprofessional In my life shocking company

    I don’t even know where to start it has been that bad they do not communicate with you blame everybody else I n the company receptionist are rude you never get a call back just all over shocking am now 8 months down the line and still no further forward from the day I started

    I found these Solicitors to be professional and knowledgeable, and honest from the start and throughout. Even with the complications of my case, and (perhaps) dealing with me, they have remained courteous, helpful, polite, engaging and positive. I couldn't have asked for more. I'm not wishing to jump into another legal dance off, but Jordans Solicitors are at the top of my list if it happens (Although I don't know what a legal dance off is...)

    Tower of legal knowledge

    Mr Newby and his team (even telephonists) have all massively helped me at times of sheer despair and have helped me get through my very lengthy sentence. Despite and uphill struggle and in the face of adversity Mr Newby has believed in me where and when perhaps other lesser persons of integrity may have given up and Mr Newby has built up my appeal which is close to being settled in the High Court! Brilliant Mr Newby is a Tower of legal knowledge, I call him "THE EQUALIZER!". He is passionate about Justice & Injustice and he gets the job done satisfaction guaranteed.
