Linda began her legal career working within the County Court, the Court of Protection and the Supreme Court while studying for her law degree. After obtaining her LL.B (Hons), she moved to the Criminal Appeal Office, where she worked closely with members of the judiciary. Qualified as a solicitor in 1987, Linda became a partner by 1991 before going on to establish her own successful high street practice in Bromley with a fellow solicitor. Her work spanned a broad range of areas, including family law, residential conveyancing, wills and probate. Following a merger with another Bromley firm, she continued her practice as a consultant. Linda joined TD in December 2011 and brings over 35 years of legal experience across multiple disciplines. She now specialises in supporting vulnerable clients, including matters relating to Lasting Powers of Attorney, the Court of Protection, and care funding for elderly clients. She also advises on wills, residential conveyancing (including declarations of trust and transfers of equity), contentious probate (contested wills), and property disputes. Her extensive knowledge of court and tribunal procedures further strengthens her practice. Linda has played a key role in TD becoming members of the Equity Release Council and has more than 12 years’ experience advising clients on equity release lifetime mortgages, typically working alongside brokers and lenders. She is an Affiliate member of STEP, having achieved merit in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients, as well as the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation. Supporting vulnerable individuals is central to her work and something she feels deeply passionate about. Linda greatly values the loyalty of her long-standing clients and the recommendations she receives, and she looks forward to continuing to support both existing and new clients. She enjoys the challenge that each case brings. Linda’s work is supervised by Melanie Dunton, a senior partner.
