I met Emily at an extremely difficult and stressful time, and from the outset she was thoughtful, calm, and highly attuned to both the legal and human aspects of my situation. Emily was consistently mindful of my mental wellbeing and offered reassurance and grounded advice, including encouraging me to take time away to focus on my health and to slow the pace when needed. At the time, I didn’t fully heed that advice, but later did, and in hindsight, I should have listened sooner. That experience taught me to trust Emily’s guidance, which clearly comes from deep experience and judgment built over her 17 years practising employment law. Throughout the process, Emily acted as both a steady sounding board and a decisive legal lead. She guided me through complex decision-making with clarity, facts, and a strong legal framework, ensuring emotions never drove strategy. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to remain completely unflustered and professional, even when baited or faced with difficult opposing conduct. That composure is a real asset in high-pressure employment disputes. And resulted in concluded the grievance with favourable terms. You truly pay for the quality of service you receive, and I am very pleased I chose Emily. I had complete confidence in her abilities, experience, and judgment throughout, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing expert, steady, and highly competent employment law support.

Contacting Ayshea & Emily was a game changer, we found them via recommendation and I can see why. We'd contacted several employment solicitors beforehand and had begun to despair. My daughter was going through an absolutely awful time with her employers over many months and it had taken a huge toll on her (& my) health. We were both at rock bottom, each employment solicitor was impersonal and couldn't be bothered to engage properly with us. When we contacted Couchman Hanson to connect with Emily, the response was prompt and an initial consultation was arranged very quickly via Ayshea - who was so professional and exuded warmth in her communications. The initial consultation with Emily was exactly what we needed, she was patient, understanding and reassuring, asking pertinent questions but also allowing time to explain the traumatic experiences. What was most helpful was her affirmation that these experiences were within her remit and very familiar to her. It finally felt like the weight of the world was lifting. The costs quoted were reasonable, affordable and we both felt that here is someone who actually wanted to help, wanted redress. I cannot recommend highly enough. It's not easy to even contemplate any form of legal representation, it's downright daunting, but Ayshea and Emily literally took the stress away with the way they dealt with us and the warm, personal communications. I cannot thank them enough, it makes such a difference to a stressful situation to deal with such warm, genuine professionals.

Recently I had to seek legal advice for the first time, but I had no idea who to ask. Couchman Hanson Solicitors were local to me so I tried them, safe to say that was a good choice.
