Very disappointing experience. I felt that the solicitor was unnecessarily vague in her answers and seemed to be prolonging matters in a way that would have resulted in me paying significantly more in additional fees. After the court hearing, it became clear to me that the situation had been presented as far more complicated and serious than it ultimately was, and that much of the additional expense being suggested was not necessary. I was also concerned by the fact that some of the answers I received were not particularly clear or accurate, and on a couple of the main questions I had, the solicitor did not seem certain of the answer. Overall, I found the experience frustrating, expensive and unhelpful. The solicitor I dealt with was Shella. Awful experience.

My daughter got a fare evasion summons on her 18th birthday having dropped her phone so unable to tap out. We expected a fine but instead it was a threat of prosecution. She's doing A Levels and planning to go to uni in Sept so a prosecution would be devastating. With only 10 days to respond (3 of which were gone before we got the verification letter in the post, time was of the essence. I tried a different firm on Friday morning but by 3pm still had no offer of an appointment. By contrast, I contacted Makwana by whatsapp at 3pm and was talking to a solicitor (Shella) at 6pm (on a Friday) and had a list of docs to compile by Saturday lunchtime. Shella was amazing, clear, plain speaking, really explored all the details of the case, gave an overview of how the system works etc. They submitted a very strong case for us and, thank god, we were issued with a warning by TfL within just a few days of the submission. Shella and Eryk were just amazing throughout and were always responsive which kept the stress at bay through what was a very worrying time. I hope I will never need their services again but if I do, I know exactly where to turn. Thanks so much Shella and Eryk
