I wouldn't bother with these, they don't help very rarely respond unless you send multiple messages. And if your facing criminal charges you got no hope. Well at least that's how they have made me feel. £3000 spent on pre charge engagement just for them to not do anything.

Excellent experience for the past 15 years , professional , honest and a clear agenda to help clients in the best way they can . Would highly recommend them .

Firstly, I am not one to leave negative reviews because I just don’t think it’s worth the time of day and I usually like to make excuses for people/companies/services. In this instance I am left very upset by this company and feel like they are a scam and people should stay away and not be deceived by all the positive reviews which are less in numbers and probably all family or friends. I had a situation with my employer and unintentional misuse of a D badge for someone I care for during working hours and needed advice desperately ahead of a code of conduct meeting held by my employer. Initially I had a 15 minute consultation with Shela from Makwana Solicitors and she was adamant I must get the right advice and the situation sounds risky and within 5 seconds I was sent the email to pay the £360 initial consultation sign up. On the initial consultation a member of the team who was lovely in nature fair enough but firstly called me 10 minutes late and secondly gave me the very very basic bare minimal advice which I was already given by family and friends and their main line of advice was that my situation requires an “employment solicitor” not a “criminal solicitor.” What’s contradictory is that in my 15 minute consultation had they told me that this sounds like you would be better off speaking to an employment lawyer instead I would not have wasted £360 on them just to hear the same thing. As a woman managing a household 2 kids and a job with several other physical/mental health issues I believe in this scenario I have definitely been scammed. Stay away guys stay far away!! On top, no follow up email nothing but very quick to email across details of an employment lawyer they would like to recommend. Ergh, shudder! Please dont expect them to keep it real with you in their 15 minute consultation. Any way possible to rinse people dry!! They could have easily kept it real and honest and said look you can sign up to us based on your own discretion but your situation sounds like you are much better off speaking to a trade union rep or a an employment solicitor.

I contacted the firm to have my documents signed and verified. They asked me to come in the same day, and everything was handled very smoothly. Highly recommended. Thank you very much. Harshana Suri

My daughter got a fare evasion summons on her 18th birthday having dropped her phone so unable to tap out. We expected a fine but instead it was a threat of prosecution. She's doing A Levels and planning to go to uni in Sept so a prosecution would be devastating. With only 10 days to respond (3 of which were gone before we got the verification letter in the post, time was of the essence. I tried a different firm on Friday morning but by 3pm still had no offer of an appointment. By contrast, I contacted Makwana by whatsapp at 3pm and was talking to a solicitor (Shella) at 6pm (on a Friday) and had a list of docs to compile by Saturday lunchtime. Shella was amazing, clear, plain speaking, really explored all the details of the case, gave an overview of how the system works etc. They submitted a very strong case for us and, thank god, we were issued with a warning by TfL within just a few days of the submission. Shella and Eryk were just amazing throughout and were always responsive which kept the stress at bay through what was a very worrying time. I hope I will never need their services again but if I do, I know exactly where to turn. Thanks so much Shella and Eryk
