This is the first review I have ever left….I always thought people that leave reviews have to much time on their hands!!! I cannot stress enough, please do not go with this firm (to save a few pounds) I would compare it to hiring someone from the local greggs store to manage your finances. They have no clue, can’t add up and try to over charge you with stamp duty “how did that happen?” My solicitor said. I have found it incredibly hard to get hold of my solicitor, constantly away from his desk. Responds to 1 out of 5 emails even when important. Please just reconsider before you decide to go for the cheap option. Mine was ok, no chain though. Thanks

Absolute shambles of a service...from providing all the information on 24/03...to not hearing anything for 4 working days (no acknowledgment of receipt or any missing or incorrect elements which we think is at least fair to get an acknowledgement), then having to request a response to acknowledge receipt of the information and ask if anything was missing.... It turns out that there was something they were waiting for which we'd had for a month! But they didn't ask nor say we needed to provide at that stage so we could've lost even more days. They are not proactive, they are slow and give you no confidence to deal with an email let alone a remortgage. The tone, respect and general courtesy in all the emails was very poor. When we got in touch with the CEO who is also the "Clients Complaint Partner" he blamed the poor comms on the "44 completions Tom Wellings had to deal with and he is a good guy"... Tom also showed he did not show the level of respect to us by reading our emails and tried to muddy the waters as to confuse two subjects within one email and blame us by wanting a response within 24 hours but our emails were based upon two separate topics! Funny at the time, even funnier now! Eventually we got our money back and were dealt with far better elsewhere. The funniest thing from it all was the CEO / Clients Complaint Partner Patrick Tedstone blaming us for trying to cause "confusion" in his team by directing our emails at him and not Tom Wellings, when in fact Patrick is the Clients Complaint Partner! He even names a solicitor in his team that we’d never heard of! This showed his level of confusion but goes to show how they dealt with us and if the CEO does that, what is the rest of the team like? Very funny indeed...then he gave us the insight that he works very hard by getting up at 6am before going on his holiday! Not a bad effort there Patrick! As we said to them...you get what you pay for...my advice to anyone reading this review...please pay a bit more money and go elsewhere!

We were recommended to use ORJ Law by a family member, after having a very negative experience with our previous Solicitors and subsequently our first purchase attempt falling through. I was really dubious about getting into the whole process again; however, Tom and his team at ORJ made the process so much better this time around, we are extremely grateful for all of Tom's hard work in getting us our first home. Emails were always responded to and all information and any queries were always explained in full. Thank you Tom, for everything. I would highly recommend ORJ if you need a conveyancer.

We used ORJ Solicitors whilst purchasing our first home and have to say was extremely satisfised with the service we received. From start to completion Tom dealt with all of the relevant paper work and took the time to explain anything we were not 100% sure on, and always in a punctual manner. I cant praise him enough for his professionalism. He is a credit and asset to the company. I speak for myself and my partner when I say i would strongly recommend them to first time buyers.
