Exceptional and Inclusive Employment Law Support

While my case is ongoing, from the very start, Slater Heelis and Sylviane have been exceptional. When no one else was willing to take on my employment law matter, Sylviane and the team at Slater Heelis stepped in with unwavering support, expertise, and inclusivity. Sylviane has been amazing throughout the entire process, and I feel fortune to have her support. She guided me with clarity, continuously accommodated my circumstances, and always provided grounded, actionable advice that helped me move forward with confidence. Thanks to her, I now feel in a strong, empowered position, something I did not feel at the beginning. As a domestic abuse survivor who is neurodivergent, disabled, and from the LGBTQIA+ community, the incredible quality of service and affirming experience has been invaluable. Working with Sylviane has been brilliant, the expertise, empathy, and dedication are a joy to work with. In today’s often hostile climate, knowing there’s an inclusive, reliable option like Slater Heelis and Sylviane for employment law gives me reassurance for the community, that we won’t be ignored, and that there are options for support so we can seek justice and continue to live our lives with pride. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sylviane and Slater Heelis to my peers or anyone seeking compassionate, high-quality legal support, especially those who need an ally in employment disputes. Whatever happens with my case, thank you for being the support I desperately needed.

Settlement agreement help

I had just been made redundant and needed expert legal support. After searching for local employment lawyers, I found Slater Heelis and was introduced to Sylviane. From the very start, she was calm, reassuring, and able to take the emotion out of an incredibly stressful situation. Our discovery call immediately showed me that she is a lawyer you can truly partner with. Sylviane’s clear, confident, and humble communication helped me understand the situation fully – what was happening, what should happen, and what to expect next. Together, we agreed on a plan of action, and every step was handled exceptionally well. I was genuinely impressed by the professionalism, work ethic, and support from both Sylviane and the Slater Heelis team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of employment law advice.

Employment Settlement Agreement- Unfair Dismissal

I instructed Slater Heelis to represent me during a settlement agreement following what I believed to be an unfair dismissal by my employer. From the very beginning, the solicitor (Sylviane Kokouendo) provided clear guidance, reassurance, and a strong understanding of employment law, which made a difficult situation far more manageable. The company’s initial offer was significantly below what was fair or reasonable. Sylviane took the time to understand the circumstances of my dismissal and used this information to negotiate firmly on my behalf. As a result, the final settlement was substantially improved compared to the original offer, reflecting a far more appropriate outcome. In particular, she successfully negotiated the following key improvements: • An increased ex gratia termination payment, ensuring the financial settlement better reflected the impact of the dismissal. • A higher contribution towards my legal fees, reducing my personal financial burden. • Inclusion of a reference clause, providing me with a fair and supportive reference for future employment. • Inclusion of outplacement support, which will assist me in transitioning to new employment opportunities. Throughout the process, communication was prompt, clear, and supportive. I felt fully informed at every stage, and her professionalism and negotiation skills made a meaningful difference to the final outcome. I would confidently recommend Slater Heelis especially Sylviane Kokouendo to anyone facing a similar situation.
