I had never bought or sold a property before, and was very anxious about the process of selling an inherited property that had been lived in for a few years by my co-inheritor. Even getting to the point of agreeing to sell and accepting an offer had been challenging, so I was particularly concerned about the sale itself. Sarah was recommended to me by my estate agent, and I’m so glad I took the recommendation. Right from the very beginning, Sarah was brilliant. She was friendly, warm, and approachable. I spoke to her on the phone and discussed my concerns, and she couldn't have been kinder or more reassuring. Her responses, both to calls and emails, were always very prompt, which I hugely appreciated. She never made me feel that any of my questions (some of which were definitely me being over-cautious or asking things I think most people would have known) were silly or insignificant. I always felt my case was a priority to her, which is something I think we all want when going through the stressful conveyancing process. There was an issue with the property’s deeds. An error was made by a different firm when they handled the transfer of the property from the deceased to me and my co-inheritor. Sarah spoke with this firm and made sure this wouldn’t jeopardise or delay the sale, and provided me with repeated reassurance about the issue. Throughout the process, I felt she took me and my concerns seriously, and effortlessly maintained a warm, professional attitude. I really appreciated the extra ‘hand holding’ through the process. The time from getting our offer to completing the sale was under two months, so that was fantastic. Sarah never made me feel rushed to complete paperwork, nor did she ever make me feel she was playing catch up when the buyers’ solicitors wanted to exchanged more quickly than expected. I hope to begin the purchase of a property by the end of the year, and will be requesting Sarah. I’ve also already recommended her to a close family member who is selling.
