Sarah Dowie joined Palmers Solicitors in September 2017 as a Solicitor in our Family law team, based at our Rayleigh office. She was promoted to an Associate in February 2021 and further promoted in February 2024 to Senior Associate, assisting in the management of her team and the Rayleigh office. She completed a Law with Accountancy Degree in 2004 and her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law London in 2006. Sarah qualified as a solicitor in August 2008, whilst working at another Essex based law firm. Sarah is experienced in all areas of family law, including divorce and financial matters relating to the family home, additional properties, shares, pensions and spousal maintenance. Sarah is also adept at assisting high net worth clients’ and understanding their very specific needs. Due to the length of Sarah’s experience, she advises on Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements as well as matters relating to cohabitation and separation, including disputes over the ownership of property. Sarah’s expertise also extends to matters relating to Child Arrangement Orders, child abduction, Social Care and domestic violence. She is an experienced Court advocate at all stages of the legal process, up to and including trial, and has represented many of her and her colleagues’ clients’ since 2008. Sarah’s direct but friendly approach provides her clients’ with a path to achieve their goal and strategic advice on how best to navigate their matter, even in difficult circumstances. Away from the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, going to the theatre and live comedy.
