This was a very emotional and stressful time for me, but the team made me feel heard, supported, and reassured every step of the way. Rebecca was especially amazing. She provided me with so much emotional support, often taking the time to speak with me on the phone and reassure me when I felt overwhelmed. Her kindness and patience meant so much to me. I unfortunately had the experience of a very long and difficult journey through the court system following a challenging separation from my ex partner, through both public and private law proceedings, that I honestly believe I would not of been able to navigate through the minefield without the amazing support and guidance from Lawyers at Family Law Group in particular Rebecca Mahoney and Barrister Tony Woods who were both with me every step of the journey. From the start of my journey they supported not only the logistics of child proceedings, high standards of representation and knowledge in the law, but they offered support, reassurance, always giving me the strength to continue fighting which resulted in me finally being able to see my children after almost 2.5 years of proceedings and they never faulted in their professionalism, guidance and efficiency. In particular Rebecca became a support to which I felt more reassured in her presence in court and she would always explain what was happening and what some terminology meant if I didn’t understand - often going above and beyond changing her own commitments to make herself available on court dates often with very little notice. Tony’s knowledge and understanding was impeccable and like Rebecca understood the importance of consistency and routine for myself and made himself available to support teams call, meetings, and court dates, which having a familiar face, a good sense of humour and his expertise meant the world to me in the most of stressful and overwhelming situations. Tony is in my opinion by far the barrister there is out there! Within the family law group was also Johanna and Aimee who offered a great deal of knowledge and experience, completing a wide range of vital documents to support through all proceedings. Aimee was always available to support when needed and would guide me through processes and what happens next. From the very start of me visiting Family Law Group, you were made to feel welcome and the lady on reception in chesterfield particularly (apologies I’m not sure of her name) was always welcoming, kind and talkative. I will forever be in debt to Family Law for supporting me to have a relationship with my children and to finally hear my children laughter once more and having the ability to rebuild a future of memories. Thank you will never be enough to share my gratitude! There maybe a need for solisters in the future - and my first point of call will always be Family Law Group.

The Derbyshire team were absolutely excellent in their thorough and supportive approach to the complicated and emotional family court process. Aimee Booth was exceptional in reassuring and guiding me, continually doing her utmost to ensure documents were clear, concise and filed on time. There were a number of unexpected issues along the way due to covid delays etc and matters were made extremely complicated and delayed by the other party but Aimee and her team did everything in their power to keep things moving and keep me fully informed. The whole process was extremely challenging mentally and emotionally. At times I got overwhelmed by it all but Aimee showed genuine compassion and kindess when ensuring that I fully understood the information/processes. I am eternally grateful to Aimee and her team for their professional kindness and support. Should I need assistance in the future, I would definitely return to them. THANK YOU.

At a time of great complexity and challenge The Family Law Group cleared the way for my family to move forward. From initial free consultation my situation was sensitively handled with excellent initial advice and no hard sell in any respect.
