STAY AWAY FROM THIS SOLICITORS
My experience has been nothing but a disappointment. Our experience with Gwyn James Solicitors was extremely disappointing, particularly in our dealings with Sam Collier. From the start, communication was shockingly poor — Sam failed to respond to emails for over a week, and during that time, no one else from the firm stepped in or even acknowledged our attempts to reach out. It felt like we were completely ignored during a critical legal process. We were also overcharged by £75 after being wrongly billed English probate fees, despite the fact that the estate was clearly based in Wales. When we raised this issue, it was brushed aside without any proper explanation. This kind of error shows a serious lack of attention to detail and transparency — make sure to ask specifically about this if you're considering using them. The lack of communication continued when we were told vaguely that "we do not have the documents needed" without any real explanation. Only through our estate agents did we find out that a second grant of probate was required — a major detail that should have been clearly communicated to us from the beginning. This omission caused unnecessary confusion and stress. Instead of addressing our concerns directly, Sam then passed us on to someone else in the team, clearly unwilling to take responsibility for her own mistakes. This is not the kind of professionalism or accountability you'd expect from a legal professional. In our opinion, she should not be working in this field if this is the standard of service she provides. Overall, we felt misled, overcharged, and disregarded. We would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for legal support.
