Melanie is an extremely knowledgable and approachable solicitor who I knew had my back. Right from the first meeting I knew Melanie was the right one for my situation. She was able to put my mind at rest and also relayed 2 pieces of financial information to me in regards to the law that gave me peace of mind and the ability to persevere for a fair outcome. I would also like to point out that my previous solicitor never once mentioned either of these. I am able to say that my divorce has now been settled in an amicable manner.

Divorce services provided
Melanie was extremely helpful throughout the process. She provided me with information that a previous lawyer didn’t even know about. This provided me with security throughout the divorce process. She keeps up to date with the case law and is completely on your side. I will continue to recommend Melanie to anyone who needs the same services as I did.

Post divorcé settlement
Mélanie facilitated the whole divorce process with professionalism. Very flexible and approachable. Extremely knowledgeable. Punctual with all correspondence. Melanie made a difficult time much easier to deal with.

Professional customer care and service personified
A family friend and several acquaintances recommended Melanie Hamer at Wendy Hopkins and I fully endorse their opinions as I am indebted to Melanie and her Team for taking on my case. I was unfortunately positioned by another Family Lawyer in a rather precarious position just weeks ahead of my FDR. It became apparent that my former legal representation were positioning to withdraw their support and would not meet to face-to-face to discuss strategy. Despite the complexity and longevity of the case, Melanie and her Team were able to reassure me that they could provide support and more importantly prepare for the FDR. At extreme short notice with 12 lever arch files to digest, Melanie and the Team reacted swiftly and successfully represented me at FDR. There were further legal quality gates that had to be navigated, yet the dedication, professionalism and competence demonstrated by Melanie and her Team ensured that we were fully prepared for Counsel briefings and were consequently able to deliver at Court. Melanie is an excellent listener, shows empathy for her clients and respected my opinions. Strategizing together was personally paramount throughout my litigation and Melanie had faith, belief and trust in my approach which was so important. Reassuring, tenacious, professional, knowledgeable, engaging and being prepared to meet in person were several of the attributes I appreciated from working with Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice. On reflection, I wish I had contracted Melanie and The Team from the outset of my case and I fully recommend them if you wish to work collaboratively, effectively and with a complete professional who is compassionate and reassuring

Professional and knowledgeable
A professional and knowledgeable family law practice. With electronic communication as it is, the client does not need to be based in the near vicinity of WHFLP to work with them. Administrative staff are hardworking, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I worked with Melanie Hamer who supported me, protected me from a difficult husband, responded within 48hrs to my communications and had a great legal network to tap into when other matters arose that were not directly related to family law. She has a lovely sense of humour that helped diffuse some of my anxiety (not all). Chris Sadler is unflappable and an asset to the organisation; I feel she is an assistant one cannot be without.
