My son used his grandmother’s freedom pass by mistake and got caught by a TfL inspector. It was difficult do decide which solicitor to go with because this had never happened to us before. We decided to go with Nathan at Reeds because he had very good reviews and was a specialist in this field. We are glad we made the right choice by appointing him. Our case was submitted to TfL on Monday afternoon, and we got our reply from TfL on Thursday morning. Nathan managed to help my son not to go to court and avoid getting a criminal record. My son was let off with a warning. I must also add that when Nathan is contacted, he is fast to reply back.

Our autistic son was charged by CPS of stalking without fear/alarm/distress (recordable). This came as a shock to us, and we did not know where to turn for help. Looking for legal help from solicitors who are aware of autism spectrum disorder was daunting. Our search brought us to Reeds’ Solicitors after reading their autism related statement on their webpage. Our case was taken up by Mr Nathan Seymour-Hyde, who has a reputation for writing excellent ‘letters of representation’. Nathan’s calm demeanour and patient listening helped our son feel at ease with him. He explained to our son what would be expected if the CPS were to go ahead with the trial. At the trial, Nathan’s defence was based on meticulous examination of the evidence presented by the CPS and its ambiguous nature which could be confusing to a neurodivergent person. He dismantled the evidence during the cross-examination of witnesses and presented a strong closing statement. Nathan secured a favourable court verdict for our son which has had an enormously beneficial effect on his welfare and future, for which we as a family are eternally grateful.

We had our eldest son at University in London who was caught fare evading when his card failed to tap correctly. Dealing with Nathan was reassuring (but without over-promising) and he provided a clear path to be able to clear our son's name successfully. The communication was always clear and timely and consistently presented in a manner that helped our own stresses. My daughter was charged with fare evasion by TFL. She was 18 at the time and had just finished her A levels. Nathan made representations to TFL and managed to change a criminal charge to a warning. Nathan’s advice and calm council really helped our family get through this and I would recommend him to any family who find themselves in similar circumstances. We really could not be more grateful.
