Katy is a committed, passionate family law solicitor. She has over 21 years’ experience of practising all areas of family law, particularly in relation to relationship breakdown, finances (including property disputes) and arrangements concerning children, cohabitation disputes and injunctions. Katy practised at two large firms as a family lawyer in Bristol, prior to founding Harbour Family Law in 2013, to provide a specialist niche service to family law clients. Katy is the Director of Harbour Family Law Limited. Katy has specialised in Collaborative law since its introduction in 2005. Since that time, she has seen the enormous benefits that Collaborative practice can provide to individuals going through family difficulties. Katy is a member of the Bristol Collaborative family ‘pod’ of Solicitors and other Collaborative professionals, such as Family Therapists and Pensions Experts. An excellent and exceptionally capable solicitor.
Katy is a wonderful Solicitor. She is measured, wise and steadfast. She has been a great support to me and I have felt entirely safe in her hands. I will always be grateful for her representing me and my children and for putting our safety, best interests and protection at the forefront of her counsel.
She fronted the battle in one of the most challenging times I have endured in my life and took the huge burden i was carrying and took it into her own hands. She shielded me from barrages of unwanted contact and was discerning in what she shared with me.
Katy was never rocked by the many challenges we faced and she spoke truth in times that I was tossed in the sea of uncertainty. She also boldly represented me on an occassion an injustice was being served and fought for fairness and common sense to be heard.
I hope I do not find myself in need of a solicitor again, however if i do, i will not hesitate to instruct Katy.

Child arrangements
I would highly recommend Charlotte. Her advice regarding my extremely stressful situation was clear and excellent. I really didn’t know how I could move things forward and she was so helpful explaining the options and various possible outcomes. She was non judgmental and empathetic to the whole situation and extremely efficient. The costs were clear and I was very happy with the service and outcome.

Services relating to gaining parental rights and reasonable contact
Charlotte at Harbour Family Law offered a professional service which has contributed towards improving a hostile & worsening co-parenting situation. Charlotte offered a friendly, efficient and professional service which seemed to come from an honest place. I felt Charlotte genuinely wanted to help improve my Paternity situation for the sake of my Daughters upbringing. I received great communication & clearly conveyed advice. Child Arrangements
Harbour Family Law were extremely efficient and supportive when settling the child care agreement between myself and my ex wife following on from our divorce. They responded swiftly to my questions and concerns and kept me informed at every stage of the process. Charlotte Prideaux dealt with my case and was absolutely fantastic. Outstanding level of service and support
Divorce is such a dreadful thing to be faced with and it is such an emotional time. Katy was able to be the voice of reason and get the practical side of the divorce resolved in an efficient and respectful manner. Katy was adept and knew exactly what and how to conduct things. I felt like it was all done so professionally. I felt safe knowing Katy and the whole team at Harbour family law were steering my boat to safety!

Divorce proceedings
I found Kate extremely easy to deal with and she was very personable and considering these situations for many of us are very upsetting and stressful she gave me clarity on what the process was and how to move forward.
These extremely difficult situations are made easier with harbour family law and the result Kate achieved for me gave me the opportunity to move forward with my new life which I am pleased to say I am very happy with.
