I was referred to Downie & Gadban by a friend and wasn't disappointed. Being the first time I have sold a home and not knowing the complications that could come with it, I have no doubt that I made the right choice. Their conveyancing team were incredibly helpful and made sure I was updated regularly throughout the whole process. I will certainly be using them again and recommending them to family and friends!

My House move this Summer 2023
Moving house can be stressful, thanks to the team at D&G, my house sale and purchase within the Alton area went very smoothly.

Local and no-surprises fee for handling our house sale
We had a very smooth house sale with the help of Tracey and Rebecca. Due to our own complications (changing various things in already-submitted forms, belated arrival of the Deeds), it was very handy that their office was local and we could just drop off new paperwork. Their upfront estimate was very reasonable and they didn't add on surprise fees, so the final bill was close to the estimate. We found the duo very responsive and courteous and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Property purchace and sale involving complex lease arrangements - retirement property purchase
We have just completed the sale of a property and what turned out to be 'one of the most complex' lease hold related property purchases. Tracey Longdon was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. The sale was completed smoothly and efficiently, but the subsequent purchase was more difficult. Tracey was able to help us, our vendor's solicitor and others involved in this complex purchase to understand the complicated proceses of head and underleases. Tracey was always efficient in driving the process and intervened repeatedly but professionally to enable the vendor's solicitor to also make progress.
We cannot thank the team at Downie & Gadban enough for their sustained hard work. Thanks particularly to Tracey, Ryan, Tina and Rebecca.
