Originally from Falkirk, Anna studied for her undergraduate degree at the University of Glasgow, followed by her diploma at the University of Edinburgh. Having trained with Thorntons and calling Fife home since 2019, Anna qualified as a Solicitor during the pandemic in 2020 and practised with specialised Private Client teams within independent Edinburgh law firms before joining W. & A. S. Bruce as a member of the Private Client team in our Dunfermline office in November 2022. In 2023 she qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner. Anna enjoys helping individuals and families with a range of Private Client matters, from Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Executries, and Estate and Tax Planning. Anna likes to build lasting relationships with clients as their trusted adviser and enjoys working with and getting to know clients from all walks of life. Anna ensures that any instructions she receives are completed clearly and efficiently but with care and compassion. Wherever possible, she also hopes to relieve her clients of the stresses that can often be found in Private Client work. When not practising law, Anna is now a busy mum but previously enjoyed competitive Ballroom and Latin dancing with her husband. She also volunteers as a Girl Guide Leader and is a Consultative Committee Member of Girlguiding Scotland until 2027.

    Wills done quickly and efficiently.

    My experience of choosing W&AS Bruce to prepare wills for myself and my wife was extremely satisfying thanks in no small part to Anna Hills who is a credit to the firm. Anna is a Trusts & Estates Practitioner and it was evident from the start that she is clearly knowledgeable in this area of law.
