Deborah Kaye

Associate Solicitor

Accepting new clients via ReviewSolicitors

Deborah Kaye joined the firm’s Wills & Probate Team in July 2019, to contribute to the growth of that department. She brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked in this area of the law for over 20 years. Deborah previously had strong connections in the Holme Valley where she practised for many years and has welcomed the opportunity to work again in Huddersfield, having spent a few years working for a large multi-discipline firm in Bradford most recently. Over the years Deborah has dealt with a full range of Wills & Probate services from pre-death work – making Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate and Tax Planning, through to dealing with Estates post-death, and associated planning (eg. Deeds of Variation). She has experience dealing with Agricultural clients in relation to estate planning and estate administration from her time spent in the Holme Valley. Deborah is also able to deal with Court of Protection work, and Trusts (both lifetime and on death), including Personal Injury Trusts, and has a background in property law. Having experience dealing with the entire spectrum of Wills & Probate matters, Deborah is able to offer our clients a totally holistic approach to any review of their affairs, not just focusing on any particular aspect of them. Since joining Ridley & Hall, Deborah has enjoyed reconnecting with other local professionals (Solicitors, Accountants, Financial Advisers), with whom she or her clients have worked previously, and is always looking to promote the firm and make new contacts. She represents the firm as part of the Kirklees Dementia Friendly Communities Steering Group, and is a Dementia Friend. Out of the office, Deborah likes to keep fit by running and circuit exercise sessions, to help her to keep pace with her two sporty sons and her Cocker Spaniel, Bertie. She enjoys Northern Soul music and dancing.
