Senior Solicitor

Katie is a Senior Solicitor within the Immigration team. She has extensive expertise in asylum claims, immigration and human rights cases. She represents clients at the tribunal stage. Katie specialises in immigration applications which help keep families together, such as spouse visas and child applications. She also has experience in cases involving gender-based violence and the particular protections afforded to clients. She represents clients as high as the upper tribunal stage of appeals, and if needed, instructs counsel at the highest court in Scotland. The Immigration team are in regular dialogue with the Home Office and are committed to keeping clients up to date with every step of the process. Katie is a key part of the successful team which led to Jones Whyte winning both the Scottish Legal Awards and Law Awards of Scotland ‘Firm of the Year’ in 2021 and to its continuing success as one of Scotland’s fastest growing law firms.
