After a brief initial hiccup when it was unclear whether Sampson Coward would be able to act for us, the actual execution was fast, efficient and trouble-free, lasting one month to the day from sending the quote to completing the matter. A very positive experience. We'd definitely go back to Sampson Coward if we have a similar need in the future.

We instructed Vicky Langdown to oversee both the sale of our property and the purchase of our new home in February of this year. We were selling to first-time buyers, and our purchase had no onward chain, so we expected the process to be relatively straightforward. Unfortunately, communication throughout much of the process was minimal, and contact was devoid of pleasantries. We often felt that progress only happened when we actively chased for updates. Routine tasks seemed to take far longer than expected, and there was a lack of clarity about what stage we were at and what was causing delays. Despite accepting and making offers in February, we did not complete our move until June, which was frustrating given the simplicity of the chain. It wasn’t until Sara Blackburn began acting in a locum capacity that things noticeably improved. Sara was responsive, proactive, and kept us updated regularly — her involvement brought a real sense of momentum and professionalism that had been missing earlier in the process. While we did eventually reach completion, our experience overall was disappointing. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we felt the level of service fell short of what we had expected
