I am a solicitor in the Medical Negligence team at Tees Law, having qualified and joined Tees in September 2021. Although my experience covers a broad range of medical negligence claims, my particular areas of interest include inquests, delayed diagnosis and surgical negligence claims. Delivering what you really need When you, a family member, or a close friend falls ill, it can be an extremely stressful time. You place your trust in medical professionals, and whilst often the care provided by them is exemplary, unfortunately, sometimes mistakes are made which can have catastrophic and far reaching consequences. It takes tremendous courage to seek help or resolution for your experiences. I understand that the prospect of starting a legal claim can seem daunting. I will listen to your concerns with compassion and empathy, and endeavour to assist you in finding a resolution that best fits the needs of you and your family. I have featured in many digital and print publications, including recently in the Daily Mail and The Guardian, on behalf of many families I am representing legally in relation to Mr Yaser Jabbar, who was a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Georgina Wade, a solicitor at Tees Law representing several families in a civil action against GOSH, told the Daily Mail: ‘The effects have been far more profound than the report suggests, both physically and emotionally. ‘Many of these children already had complex, life-limiting conditions but they were made worse, sometimes to the point that injuries can no longer be fixed. Some children, now adults, have developed phobias of hospitals and refuse further surgery because they cannot face going through it again.’ Georgina Wade, an associate solicitor at Tees Law, told The Guardian: “We are supporting a number of patients and their families who have been profoundly affected by Mr Jabbar’s treatment.”
