Not a good service.
My partner and I engaged Hains and Lewis to carry out the conveyancing on our purchase of two garages and associated building plot. In our opinion, we were not provided with a good service. There was a restrictive covenant regarding building on the land, which was critical to the viability of the purchase. This would have shown up very quickly in the searches. However, Hains and Lewis did not alert us to this most important fact until the very final stages of the process. Importantly, it was only after we had transferred the funds that we were sent the buyer's report, which highlighted the restrictive covenant. We could, and should, have been alerted to this much earlier in the process. In the event, he had to chase around himself in order to arrange for the covenant to be removed. He commented that this was one of the most stressful experiences of his life. All was fine in the end, but this was no thanks to Hains and Lewis. It seems that no-one is in overall control of the conveyancing process, and that there is inadequate supervision of staff carrying out the work. We regard this to be a very poor service, and we would certainly never engage Hains and Lewis again.

Excellent service
Eloise was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process of our house sale and purchase. We had regular communication from Eloise, and she really pushed the process along when the chain was lacking due to other parties.

Professional & Approachable
We needed to have our wills updated. For us it was a difficult and complicated issue. But it was made much easier by our solicitor, Eloise Llewellin. She listened, explained the procedure, advised when we asked about some of the certain concerns we had. Overall, the phone calls, emails and face to face appointments were professional but friendly. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hains & Lewis.

From start to finish .
From beginning to end, it was a pleasure dealing with Eloise and Lucy.
The purchase of a property is often fraught with issues and timings, but this was a seamless procedure which was down in no small measure to their attention and professionalism.
I have enjoyed doing business with the Firm in the past and will continue in the future.

Excellent Company
Eloise dealt with both the sale of our property in Herefordshire and the purchase of our new home in Pembrokeshire. She was very approachable, efficient, friendly, informative, helpful and professional. We had no problem in making an appointment when we needed to see her and she was always very accommodating. Together with the help of Lucy we would highly recommend to people wanting a smooth successful transaction.

Will and estate transfer
Their first response to any enquiry seems to be to send a multi-page form to fill in, much of it requiring information that has nothing to do with the enquiry. I only met the solicitor once; she seemed very competent and pleasant, but I would't like to try and see her in a hurry. Generally, service seemed very remote and impersonal, and they gave an unfortunate impression that the most important part of the case was their payment. They invoiced me for a bill I had paid three weeks earlier. Reception seemed offhand and uninterested.
