Barker Gotelee recently helped with both the sale of my property and the purchase of a new house and I was extremely happy with the service provided. Nicola Cawthorne was always quick to respond to any enquiries, communication was excellent throughout and was also incredibly patient with various changes that took place to the properties we were buying over a 10 month period from start to finish. I would highly recommend Barker Gotelee if you are buying or selling!

Friendly and efficient, would use again

Capital Gains Tax burden lightened
I think the title of this review says it all and the 5 stars are justifiably deserved.
Thomas was exceptional in dealing with my request regarding the payment of CGT to the HMRC on the sale of a buy to let property. Thomas lightened the burden of this activity from the perspective of the proocess and the completion itself and was also able to help lighten the size of potential Tax bill (significantly), neither of which I feel I could have done and come away from doing, with the same degree of confidence and especially not within the tight deadlines that I have made for myself. I am indebted to Thomas for his help and the outcome!
As the following question in this feed back asks, "were you satisfied with the outcome of the matter'?, I have to caveat here that yes, I was completely satisfied (and some) with the outcome that Thomas could provide, but I can not say that I am 'satisfied with the outcome of the matter' (and hope that this does not sully the feedback for Thomas in anyway), but I can't see how the HMRC can logically, ethically or morally defend the amount of Tax they have calculated.
I have already enquired about further services that Barker Gotelee offer, that Thomas is looking into for me in terms of Business Tax Accountancy which is a direct consequence of my experience with Thomas on this task (and I should also mention Nicola Cawthorn and the Barker Gotelee eviction team).
