I instructed Sheila back in December 2021, so was surprised to be asked for a review, but as I've been prompted three times here goes! In short, it was my worst conveyancing experience to date. It took a further nine months to complete a sale and purchase that felt frustratingly wracked with poor advice and slow action. The biggest issue for me though was the monies for furniture that was sold to the buyer was missed off the final statement and a retention fee that was never recovered. Despite chasing, I remain £400 out of pocket. In contrast, I used the solicitors who acted for my sellers to sell the property recently - four months, not one concern!

Being first time buyer the only thing which was bothering me to get a trustworthy solicitor. I heard lots of ghost stories from my friends and also on reddit about solicitor not responding, delaying process etc. The estate agent had referred me to Hervey Dickens Solicitor and made me assured that you will be in safe hand. It actually exceeded my expectations. They are very prompt in initiating the process and keeping me updated for it. Sheila Masinde is a rockstar. She was so specific about the things she want from sellers Solicitor to make sure my mortgage and completion should happen before my mortgage offer expired. Sheila was on holiday but that didn’t impact my overall processing timelines as she was responding to my call and email during her holidays. You can’t expect such outstanding service from anyone else.
