This review is months overdue but I just wanted to say that Ursula Rice was fabulous! I wasn't represented by her but I had a single, first consultation call with her a few months ago. At this time I was at the start of my divorce journey, and was emotionally quite wobbly after a few months of real upset. I was also worried about understanding my financial position and had lots of questions about the divorce process itself. I had prepared well (I'd advise you to do the same!) to get the most out of my session but Ursula, having reviewed my information, cut to the chase quickly so I knew exactly what I was dealing with on a practical and financial level. That was super-helpful but what I appreciated most was that she had the perfect balance of communicating the practical with deep empathy, care and positivity. I felt like she really 'got me' as a divorcing woman and gave me the confidence to understand that I would be OK, however things shook out. Ursula gave me a great pep talk and I felt like she was a proper cheerleader which was exactly what I needed at a time when my confidence and trust had been totally knocked. She also went above and beyond time-wise and let me talk and clarify every little detail without making me feel silly or rushed. I can honestly say that my couple of hours with Ursula was a game-changing moment in my divorce experience, and my attitude and confidence in myself was repaired as a result. My experience with Ursula and her team has been first class. I wish I had found them much earlier in my divorce as unfortunately I did not have a good experience with two previous solicitors. Ursula is straight talking, calm and gets things done. My divorce was complicated, for both children and financial matters. I would recommend Ursula and her team for anyone going through a divorce, requiring expert help, do not even bother to look elsewhere, I would go straight to her!

I am so grateful to this team, and especially to Ursula, that I don't even know where to begin. Ursula is so knowledgeable and grounded. I absolutely admire the bones out of her. When she took on my case, I had been financially and emotionally drained by a previous solicitor, who seemed more concerned on taking all my money than to help me moving my case forward. Ursula put the puzzles of my case together and gave me advice on a PAYG to help me gain control throughout our very lengthily proceedings. I wish we'd known about Family First years ago when my partner's abusive spouse started hassling her for divorce. Even though mediation wasn't working we were put off going to court because we thought she either had to go it alone in court against her ex (who could afford a solicitor) or spend more money than she possessed on a solicitor herself. Instead we've had a £60 as-long-as-it-takes initial session with one of Family First's solicitors (Jenny), a couple of short Pay As You Go sessions with George, and some help from Ursula and George's Thursday evening Live sessions on Facebook. The Facebook sessions especially are brilliant; we've learned so much about family law, court procedures, what's important and what's not, and gotchas to watch out for, and it's not as scary as it seemed. And they're sometimes laugh out loud funny - Ursula can be very forthright in her opinions! Recommended
