When I first reached out to Juliette and Jessica about having difficulties in my marriage, their advice was to seek counselling and to work it out. When I sadly later reached the end of the road and divorce felt like the only option, I met with a couple of other firms to discuss next steps. But I was drawn back to Peters May due to that initial advice. During the ensuing 15 months, their support was extremely valuable to me. What started as a "friendly" divorce turned out to be a very acriminous one. Jessica, who took the lead on my case, was always very balanced and reasonable in her approach. A divorce is I suspect not something anyone enjoys, but Jessica and Juliette made a very difficult time for me much easier with a combination of clear high quality guidance and process management, patient handling of a client who sometimes found the process very challenging, and a consistent focus on achieving the most pragmatic solution/outcome. Throughout this they also maintained s very friendly style of engagement which, whilst being highly professional, I valued highly during the process.

Working with Jessica was wonderful. I had reached out to a few lawyers in the matter of my divorce but Jessica was the only one that stood out to me on initial discussions. My case was complex as it involved jurisdiction issues between England and South Africa which needed to be addressed urgently. She always listened to me as a client but most importantly what I admired most is that she made sure she had all the facts and truth before negotiating the matter for me. Over the last eighteen months Peters May have represented me across three very different cases � a child custody case for my son, a child maintenance judgement summons and variation case for both of my children, and most recently, for my divorce. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be faced with such personal challenges, let alone the resulting legal issues, but Peters May guided me through with not only an unparalleled level of expertise, but also with empathy and understanding. Two out of three cases involved international law, which made resolving these cases particularly complex, yet Peters May facilitated the experts required, including a Qatari law specialist and an Independent Social Worker, both of which were highly reputable in their respective fields. Juliette ran two cases and Jessica the other, but both worked seamlessly together to ensure they were never out of the loop. This helped me enormously as if one partner was in court, the other was generally available to respond, update me and push the case forward. I've instructed large legal firms in the past for various matters and found that over time I've been lost in the system. When being faced with possibly losing my child, I couldn�t allow this to happen.
