DISAPPOINTING!!
I would strongly recommend avoiding this firm. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Barrett & Thomson. My case was dragged out for 2 and a half years causing me significant stress and emotional strain. The first solicitor I had, Vivian, was unprofessional, disorganised and was not capable of giving any decent clear legal advice. She relied on myself and the solicitor from the other side to do the alot of the work but was happy to send me big invoices. Her own work was always full of errors. I had to request a change of solicitor after a year and half. The second solicitor, Sue, was an improvement and even indicated that she wouldve prepared some of the work differently. But by that time considerable time, money and effort had already been wasted. Communication was also lacking. I had to constantly chase for updates throughout. Overall its been a long and stressful experience with this firm.
